Alpine breeze, could you ever displease me

LUCERNE

The Lion Monument / A memorial for the mercenary soldiers from Switzerland who lost their lives while serving the French King Louis XVI during the French Revolution. Mark Twain called it "the saddest and most moving piece of rock in the world".

HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI
"to the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss"

(But Idk as Singaporeans, to take our only group photo in front of a dying lion is actually a little off coz you know, Singapore is known as the lion city hellooo)

Chasing swans near the waters of Old Chapel Bridge, and this has got to be one of the most beautiful towns I had set foot on. The sun reflected off the waters in bright sparkles of light making the swans look like feathered ethereal beings. We spotted a castle from afar and I do think mountains make for very pretty backdrops, always reminding us that nature's not too far off. Also, there were pretty bakeries and pastries shops which happened to sell clean food and chocolates (really should have bought after all).

MT. TITLIS, ENGELBERG

Sat prolly four cable cars (three or four, I forgot) including the Rotair up to the peak of Mt. Titlis. And we were soo afraid of the cold adeline & I decided to wear two layers of thermal wear underneath our ootd and we practically roasted ourselves while having lunch coz it's normal aircon temperature in there ????? But very glad we did so, coz the negative four degree celsius out in the open had definitely been more bearable! Below are pretty pictures of us at ten thousand feet overlooking the swiss alps <3
