🍊🍊 CNY 2018 🍊🍊

16 FEB - 17 FEB 2018 / Another mandatory chinese new year post, so here goes. I seriously think twenty seven years old marks the point whereby the idea of collecting angpows no longer excites me, and it's no longer necessary to get that many shots for that one perfect photo (even tho I feel like I do have one this year hahaha) My zalora dress had been part of their valentine's day edit, but looking at the way I paired it with my white nike, this outfit could have easily passed off as a national day look as well hohoho

Basically what's different this year was that I got the chance to chauffeur my famz around COZ I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST :D getting my driving licence had been one of my new year goals (for a few years alr hahaha) so I can now safely say I have striked that off my goals list \m/ I haven't been able to drive around as much as I would like to tho, someone please teach me how to park once more zzz

And of coz, we cousinz had our usual sing k session into the wee hours but getting old alr Idk how long I can keep this up hahaha this time we up our game by going for this extra big room with pool table and massage chair (damn shiok) But I think the truly shaggy dogz part was when we drove into malaysia for the first time without dad and totally lost our way + drove in the wrong lane (meant for vehicles gg in the opposite direction, how dangerous!) coz their road markings are totally non existent ZOMG did someone say once is enough ?????

初二 we caught black panther together in the cinemas at causeway point and you know whatz, a few days later this project manager in my workplace came up to me showing this very photo on his mobile phone and went, andrea is this you ????? I was like, how did you get this ????? So apparently he knew my aunt's spouse from navy and both his son and my cousin actually attend the same secondary school now — in short, what a small small world hahaha

Im still pending my 2017 post + graduation post + hongkong post oops haha I hope I find the time and energy to do those up one of these days, BACK TO MY P-FILES FOR NOW

Who dafuq still blog about CNY in March ????? BUT I NEED TO START SOMEWHERE and I alr have three consecutive CNY posts so it's only natural that these photos taken prolly two months back get archived as well. Surprisingly no "have you got yourself a bf" etc questions this year (my aunties probably got sick of asking the same questions EVERY year) and apart from that, the only thing that had been different this year was that the cousin squad split into two camps - MOVIE / KBOX

Rare that all ten children of grandma's came together (and weird that I phrase it that way Idk why) and no shortage of family photos from the paternal side one HAHA which actually is a good thing if you think about it - more photos to choose from when I do up this post, which of coz is a very superficial thing to say hahaha but really, these are moments we won't get back and that reason alone is enough.

Happy 猴-seh Year

Not much CNY feel this year, or is it just me? Or maybe it's just age catching up. I think I shldn't dayre so much after all, coz sometimes it feels like Im repeating myself here????? So this is just gonna be a photolog of sorts. And yes, CNY happiness is singing K with the cousin squad (we were back at cck kbox for the second year running) - it's the only thing Im looking forward to apart frm the angpows hehe we sang frm prolly 1030pm to 345am SHIOKKK and I actually have cousins who can sing damn well like surprise surprise surprise. One more thing, isn't it just major roll eye when a relative conveniently skip you when distributing angpows just coz you were in the freakin' toilet ????? That's what happened to me, eh can just pass to my sis right WHY LIKE THAT ok now, HELLO MONKEY!!

New Year Resolutions:

(never too late)

1. spend more time w grandma (hope dementia doesn't take away my grandma frm herself so fast)

2. get my driving licence (wtf, it's now or never)

3. land myself a really good job in terms of personal and professional development (bopi bopi)

4. hit the gym twice a week (or at the very least ONCE)

5. blog more (right here)

Surely I can keep five resolutions, right? RIGHT.

Tonight we are 羊 ~

School had been hectic during the week leading up to CNY, and it was even more so after. It had only been a real holiday on the first day, after which dad got fuming mad whenever he wanted us to have meals outside (since he rarely takes sucha long leave). But I was like "I can't, soo many slides to do" and went fml in my heart. Four mods machiam like six mods like that. Now that recess week's gonna end soon, I don't know, I'm gonna miss my bed. For sure.

CNY 2014 ♞ Gong Hei Fat Choi

Chinese new year's the same old same old. 初一's three visitations were all we needed. Most of the time I holed myself up in the room but I like the photo taking part! (And also the angpow collecting part of coz) Lol, it occurred to me that I never take ootd shot because I don't have the habit of taking one. But aiya, so many photos and videos to make up for it. A little cny visual log below.

At mom's side:

^ Wanted to take an artistic short clip of my dress flowing in the wind but Sis very extra stepped in with her mandarin orange, so 煞风景. But I later find it so cute I refused to upload on Ig just because Ig wouldn't let me show the mandarin orange hahaha

At dad's side:

Sis compiled the videos into one very cool stream of festivity and high spirits, really got to give her credits for this man ^^ :
