Kit Chan's Spellbound concert had been two weeks back but IT WAS DA BOMB. She's defo the most bilingual, smart and charming performer I've came across. I mean, which performer would refer to the seats wayyy up there as the "cheap seats" HAHAHA and she went on to say "I love cheap seats" Me totally too, even though Sis and I were in the second most expensive seats hehe Idk it just kinda disarm people and make them come down their high horses. And even though her mic failed her during the first song, the way she delivered the rest of her performance was just on point. She's way more than just being the singer of 1998 NDP song (though that got everyone turning on their flashlights in the dark singing along to Home I thought I really was at NDP ya know but IT WAS FREAKIN' HEARTWARMING I COULD CRY), coz even before this concert I knew she can sing really well but after everything, I felt like she could take on any songs ANY and totally make it her own. There was this dress though, it didn't exactly look flattering on her, but like she cares huh LOL those are real curves, you go woman!!!
It was sooo nice singing along to 心痛 & 喜欢你 (the first two songs that got me hooked on her, more like got EVERYONE hooked on her coz they flashed the lyrics on screen which meant we could sing along hahaha but not like we need the lyrics up there right) Anw, I forgot exactly what she was talking about, but she actually said "你觉得我会唱心痛吗" For one moment, I really thought she won't coz I read so much about how she just wanted to be herself and how the song list for her concerts at this stage of her life shouldn't have commercial considerations and how there were some songs she won't ever wanna sing again SCARE ME TO DEATH it's like I paid so much and you aren't gonna sing 心痛 (okok consumer mindset I know but stillllllll) She followed up with "如果不唱，你觉得我走得出去吗" LMAO glad she knows. Then again, her taste for off the kilter songs sits well with me (:
Im pretty sure I still have more to say about this concert, but Im stopping soon!! Just wanna write about a philosophical insight she shared, which went something like 生命里的一切不是理所当然的，你们也不是理所当然坐在这里的 and that cannot be any more true.
